BluePay Releases New QuickBooks Plugin
NAPERVILLE, IL (June 19, 2014) – Leading payments processor BluePay recently redesigned its QuickBooks payment processing plugin. The new module works entirely inside QuickBooks, using the same look, feel, and terminology as the popular small business accounting software. The plugin is designed to seamlessly function within the Pro, Premier, or Enterprise editions of QuickBooks for versions from 2011 or sooner.
The newly redesigned plugin reflects BluePay’s commitment to fast, easy, and secure payment processing.
“The best thing about this plugin is that once a merchant processes a transaction, a BluePay token is stored inside of QuickBooks for that customer,” said Just Slingerland, the plugin’s developer. “This token is linked to that customer for any subsequent transactions, so the merchant will never need to enter credit card or ACH information for the customer again.”
“The plugin’s use of tokenization also reduces a merchant’s PCI scope, since no complete card numbers are ever stored inside of QuickBooks,” Slingerland added.
Some of the convenient features of the QuickBooks BluePay plugin include the capability to do batch payment processing, to accept credit cards and e-checks/ACH, to set up recurring billing, and to make payments against a specific invoice or multiple invoices at one time.
With regards to installation, Slingerland commented, “It’s very seamless. Installation takes about five minutes. Once the installation is complete, the merchant will see a new option for BluePay inside of QuickBooks under the Customers menu.”
The settings the merchant has set up in QuickBooks will default to the BluePay plugin settings.
The payment modules and documentation for the QuickBooks plugin are available on the Developers section of the BluePay website (www.bluepay.com/developers). Merchants can also demo the plugin prior to committing to the installation.
