BluePay’s Kristen Gramigna Talks About Tokenization
In a recent video interview with MagTek, held at the ETA 2010 Annual Meeting and Expo in Las Vegas, Director of BluePay Kristen Gramigna discussed the benefits of secure credit card processing solutions for both small and large businesses. Among the critical points she touched upon included BluePay services that range from virtual terminals to recurring billing, as well as the importance of tokenization and data encryption at the point of sale.
MagTek and Tokenization
In the interview, Gramigna stressed the importance of keeping credit card data secure, not only to protect card holder’s sensitive information, but also to save merchants money in the long term. When merchants transmit or store credit card data, they become liable should a thief hack into the system for fraudulent activity. BluePay integrates MagTek technology into its payment process by using the MagneSafe Centurion card reader to tokenize data as soon as a credit card is swiped, rendering the data useless to hackers at every point of the transaction.
The BluePay Solution
In addition to providing the highest standards of payment security, BluePay’s all-in-one credit card processing solution includes ACH (BlueChex), software and accounting integration, electronic invoicing, level 2 and level 3 processing, end-to-end encryption and much more.
